Back to Reality
Back at work today after some lovely days off (I will post some pictures from Sälen tonight). Yesterday we just relaxed the whole day, got up late and had a big breakfast.
I love a big breakfast - yoghurt, toast, freshly made bread (ready bake), scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, juice, tea....! If you could call it a meal that would be my favorite one!!
Then we watched a film and relaxed before James took his parents to the airport. Just before they left James' sister called to tell them that their house had been burgled, nice welcome home present! Luckily it seemed like they hadn't managed to take anything as the alarm went off.
The rest of the day we sat in front of the telly, I made a yummy pasta dish and then we went to bed early. I am so glad I treated myself to that extra day off as you need your rest after four days of skiing!!

Day Off
Ooohhh I am so happy! Tomorrow I have the day off and then we have another three days off together!
I am going to have a proper long lie-in, I have been so tired lately and I feel like I really deserve it. The last time I had off was for our honeymoon!
So the plan tomorrow is: lie-in, tidy the house for Christmas, wrap some Christmas presents, relaaaax!!

So Tired
I was so tired last night I just didn't have the energy to do anything. I read a book and then we made dinner and went to bed. It's nice with a relaxing night every now and then.
Anyhow, this new shampoo I bought, for curly hair.... Well let's just say it brings out the curls in my hair, but not really in the way I was hoping!

How Do You Do It??
I don't understand how people can take pictures of themselves with their iPhones!? If I try to hold it with one hand I shake so much the pictures go all blurry.
Maybe it's not that important to be able to take a picture of yourself, but I wanted to show you the glittery dress that I wore on Friday for our anniversary.

Karaoke
The other night my parents came over and my dad and James set up the karaoke system that we are going to play with on Saturday. Emma, Alina, Emmi, Elina, Monika and Sanna are coming over for a girls night to celebrate my birthday. I am really looking forward to it!!
Of course we had to try the karaoke system out, and after a bit of hesitation we were all singing along to the songs! Haha I really love singing, and how it brings people together. It doesn't matter whether it's good or bad, I still love listening to people sing.
My dad can really sing and used to be in a band when he was younger, and James as I have said before also has a really good singing voice. He just sings without even trying.
Fun fun, and I am sure we will have just as much fun on Saturday. Can't wait!!

My Birthday
My birthday was perfect! I got breakfast in bed, a present on my desk when I got in to work (anti slip things that you put underneath your shoes for running).
After work I went to get myself a present from my godmother who had sent me some money. I got some new make up. Then I picked James up and he made me dinner whilst I dyed my hair. Finally it's blonde again and not orange, I am back (and my hair is dying, I am so sorry for all the abuse!).
Then I spoke to Hannah for a bit, they are getting married in April and I am so excited and happy for them.
Then we had a lovely dinner and I got my presents from James. I had told him that my present is the meal out tomorrow, but he had bought me loads! I got a complete new set of winter riding clothes, gloves and hat and everythings!
He had also bought me loads of books as he knows I love reading. Thank you so much my lovely husband!!!!
I also spoke to James' parents who had sent me a pretty plant. I have now got three plants for my birthday, and I do not know how I will be able to keep them alive! Is this a sign that you are growing up when people think you can handle plants? Well I will do my best with them, if Jackie would just stop trying to eat them!

Saturday
On Saturday James was not feeling his best after his Christmas do the night before, haha bless him! So I was a very good wife and went and bought egg and bacon, and made him a proper English breakfast.
In the afternoon my parents, sister and her family came over to celebrate my birthday (which is on Wednesday). We had some dinner and desert, and I got presents.
I completely forgot to take pictures which is very unlike me, but here is a picture of the presents I got.

Friday
On Friday James went for his Christmas do with work, and I had a night in with our cats.
I actually enjoy a night in sometimes, I had borrowed a book from Alina that I was reading all night, and I also watched the Idol final. Just when I was dozing off on the sofa James called and asked me to pick him up, merry and cheery after a few drinks.
A nice and relaxing Friday night which I needed after a busy week.

Christmas Feelings
On Saturday Madde, Peter and their two sons came over in the afternoon. We had spent the morning working in the kitchen, it's slowly coming together and just looks better and better. It gets so messy though, dust everywhere!
I will posts some pictures soon, there are still a few bits left.
Then we tidied up and had a lovely Christmasy snack when our guests arrived. Loads of different breads with Christmas ham and mustard, gingerbread cookies and saffron buns. Glögg and Julmust.
It left me feeling all Christmasy, and the rest of the evening I spent in front of a film with lots of candles lit whilst James visited some friends.

Not A Very Good Model
I have dyed my hair again, twice! I bought two light blonde hair dyes and did one, wasn't happy with the result so I dyed it again. And this is the result:

Busy Week, Finally Friday
What a busy week I have had, I am so glad it's Friday!
On Monday we went to celebrate Annika's birthday. On Tuesday we changed to winter tires on our car. On Wednesday we went riding. Yesterday I went to see Alina.
Good week but very busy and no nights in at all.
Now we are doing our Friday routine of watching telly, eating chocolate and drinking some Glögg! Yum!

Stamkunder
Vi verkar ha blivit stamkunder på det nya köpcentrat i Erikslund i Västerås, vi har ni varit där typ tre helger i rad!
I lördags åkte vi dit för att kolla runt lite på IKEA, vi har bestämt oss för att nästa helg ska vi ÄNTLIGEN ta tag i att göra klart köket, och det var lite smågrejer som fattades. Det är farligt att lämna saker för länge, eftersom man snabbt blir hemmablind. Att ha en halv vägg med bara betong är väl inget konstigt liksom?
Vi ska måla den sista lilla biten, sätta på underkanter (eller vad det heter) på skåpen och sätta upp lite mer krokar och hyllor, sen är det klart!
Så vi kollade runt på IKEA och sedan åt vi mat. Gud vad gott det är med sån där sallad där man får peka och välja vad man vill ha i! Jag väljer nästan alltid pasta, tonfisk, fetaost och vitlöksdressing. Så gott så jag gick och log i flera timmar efteråt!!

Father's Day
On Sunday it was Father's Day in Sweden, and after horse riding we went to my parent's for dinner. We thought my dad should be celebrated properly so we bought him some champagne that we had before dinner, why not?
Cheers to all the wonderful dads in the world!
Then we had dinner followed by coffee and chocolate, and my dad wanted me to sing him a song so I did. He is always trying to make me sing when they have people over, but I never do as there is nothing more embarrassing than forcing people to listen to you sing. But as it was only my parents and James I couldn't refuse.
Then I forced James to sing a couple of songs with me (the champagne probably helped), and whatever he says that man can really sing! I need to start forcing him more often.
A lovely day ended perfectly with watching the True Talent final when we got home. I don't know why that program isn't more popular, it's brilliant! And Dimitri did a great performance and won the whole thing, just like we hoped.
