Learning from Others

On Sunday Corvette's owner Linda came out to watch when we jumped. After I was done she hopped on and did a few jumps.

It's so interesting to watch someone else ride, you can learn a lot. When Tess tried Corvette out she gave me a few useful tips, and watching Linda ride her I realised a few things.

Linda & Corvette

Linda is much firmer with Corvette than I am, and she asks more of her. She pushes her a little bit more and does not let her get away with her little tricks.

I will take that to me. My main issue is that I am too gentle with her, if she slows down I think she is tired, if she doesn't want to do what I ask her to do I think it's too hard for her.
I wasn't like that with my own horses, but again, when it's someone else's horse you are unwilling to push them too hard.

However, after watching Linda ride her I know Corvette is tougher than I thought.

Cheeky horse has been tricking me!
