Naughty Girl

Such a naughty little cat!

Jackie is absolutely everywhere, constantly trying to find new things to do that make us go "no!".

"What!?"

Just Bathing The Cat

What do you do when you have a Monday off? Well I went horse riding, James washed our cats.

Jackie smells nice now

Cosy Cat

Cider's new thing is to "knock" on our bedroom door at about 2am every morning as he wants to come into bed with us. I get up and open it (he's got me wrapped around his paw!) and he instantly jumps into our bed, and I swap the pillow I normally hug for a big, soft, purring Cider.

Then he sleeps like that until my alarm goes off at 5.45. I love cuddling Cider, he lies perfectly still and lets me use him as a pillow. He loves that little bit of alone time he gets with us as the other two girls crave a lot of attention.

Coincidence?

We were talking about a while ago whether dogs are smarter than cats. Apparently dogs are meant to be smarter and easier to teach things to, but I am sure that cats can be taught tricks too.

When I was little I had a cat who knew the commands "sit", "lie down" and "roll over". He really did get it. So I decided to try and teach our cats to sit on command, just so see if it would work.

Well Cider and Josephine didn't get it at all, but Jackie seemed to pick it up quite quickly.

Or what do you think - coincidence?

Black and White Cat

We tried keeping Jackie away from the newly painted wall in the kitchen. Do you think she listened?

Well she looked all innocent, but why is her ear now white??

Let Me Sleeeeeeep!

First Jackie has been a pain crying outside our bedroom door about 4am. Now Cider has decided that he should come into our bed at 2am every night and sleep with us until we get up.

Really cosy and he doesn't bother us, but this means that I have to get up and open the door for him every night, as keeping it open means that we would have Jackie jumping on us and playing with her noisy toys under our bed.

So at 2am I have to get up for Cider, and at 4am Jackie starts crying. 5.45 my alarm goes off.

Good bloody morning!

She is Leaving

Our crazy little Jackie is leaving us in January to move to her new home in England.

We have known this all along and tried never to think of her as "ours", but our house will feel very strange and empty without her.

Wizie

This is how Wizie, my parents' cat prefers to drink her water!

I got Wizie when I was 11 years old, and she is still around! Pretty amazing!

I thought long and hard about her name back then, and came up with Wizie. It's pronounced wheezy, quite unfortunate but as an 11 year old I had no idea that that word had a meaning in English. Haha!

Pimp/Devil Cat

I was looking through an old memory card trying to find the pictures from Madde and Peter's wedding. I can't find the bloody card that has half of our honeymoon pictures on it as well as pics from their wedding. I will have to dig deeper.

Anyway, I came across one picture that I just had to share.

I give you, Josephine the pimp!

Having A Teenager

I think Jackie must count as a teenager now. She has started testing her boundaries, she wants to be everywhere at once, and never really leaves you alone.

I remember Cider went through a fase like this when he was little, so hopefully she will calm down soon. In the morning when my alarm goes off 20 minutes before we get up she wakes up, and stands outside our bedroom door crying for us to open it. Scratching at the door and really crying.

We try never to open the door whilst she is still crying for it, as that would teach her that it pays off to hassle us. Once we do open it she gets so excited she doesn't know what to do, and mainly she just runs all over our faces, purring like mad.

Cider and Josephine used to sleep in the bed with us, but the kittens have never been allowed to. Therefore Jackie does not view the bed as a place to rest, to her it's just a big playground.

She is such a special, loving little cat. I think sometimes she just gets so excited she doesn't know what to do with herself.

Trying to steal my tooth brush
(I don't know why the picture is like that, when I import pics from my phone it doesn't matter how much I twist them around, they still come out like this. Please tilt your heads.)

Trying to steal my food

Trying to pull out the piece of wood we have used to fasten the cat tree
Oh and the reason why we don't have a curtain?? Jackie managed to pull the whole thing down!

Cats In The Sauna

James is getting a cold and decided to try and cure it with a sauna. When he came back upstairs we couldn't find the cats. Then we quickly realised where they were...

Funny Jackie

It's not easy to do my push ups when the cats are around.

They get very excited when I lay down on the floor and they think I am playing with them. Jackie always tries to get underneath me which isn't really helping. She makes me laugh!

Me with a wacky Jackie underneath me. Cider is getting up close to the camera stealing the focus.
Ps. there are actually three cats in this picture, can you find all of them??

My Favorite Pictures

I borrowed James' camera to take some pictures of the cats the other day.

These are my favorites:

Jackie, Cider and Josephine in the background

Hahahahaha!

I love it that Cider's fur is the exact colour and texture of my favorite blanket.

The Cornish Rex must be the softest cats in the world.
