Singing Takes You Higher

On Friday my dad asked me if I wanted to come over as he had fixed a new music singing system.
I have always liked singing, but not in front of people. When people listen I get really nervous and I can barely get a note out.

The best place in the world to sing is in my parent's front room. I don't know how many hours me and Alina have spent there, singing our hearts out.

My dad likes building and fixing things, and he buys old things, microphones and speakers, and fixes them. So on Friday I went over there so he could try out the latest thing he had worked on. To me it's the best sound in the world, and the one place where I feel comfortable singing.

My mum was there for a bit, then she was off to a work do. So me and my dad played around with the sound and the hours flew by. We even recorded a bit on an old tape recorder, you know on the old style cassette tapes.

Just because something is old-fashioned doesn't mean it is no good. We played it back, sound blasted up high and it sounded just like I was still standing there singing.

Brilliant fun, I was on such a high I didn't fall asleep until gone 2pm that night.
