Favourite places in England

Windsor
Was our nearest bigger town when we lived in Ascot. It's so pretty and has lots of shops, restaurants and cafés. The queen lives there in Windsor castle, which we visited for the first time last year.

Virginia Waters
Just around the corner from out flat in Ascot was Virginia Waters in Egham. There is a lake which you can walk around, a lovely park and one of our favourite pubs, the Weatsheaf.

The New Forest
A National Park which we would go to quite often, just to walk around it and have lunch. There are wild horses there and the closest to a forest around where we lived.
(When you drive through there they used to have a sign saying
"Slow down for fox sake!" which I found really witty!)

Kingston
Beautiful Kingston with the lake running through it. Great in the summer where you can have lunch by the water. Also really good shopping and nightlife.

Christchurch
Where James' parents have their caravan. We have spent a lot of time there, and it's beautiful. Lovely beach with a pub at the end of a long promenade.

Staines
Yes Staines. Staines is the city in England where I feel most at home. It's where I lived when I first moved over, and even when we moved to Ascot I still worked near Staines and spent a lot of time there. Every Wednesday me, Hannah and Selina would meet up there for dinner, and since James' parents live near there we still go there every time we are in England.
