Goodbye Winnie and Memory

On Sunday Twiggie and Sofia were picking Memory up. We have been saying goodbye to her all week, taking lots of pictures of her and giving her lots of love.

So just before they came to pick her up Twiggie phoned me up to say that they would pick Winnie up as well. All of a sudden I had to say goodbye to two kittens, and I instantly ran over to Winnie to get that last half hour with her. She is moving to America far far away from her mum and brother and sisters, and we will never see her again! Buhuu!

Winnie minutes before she left. Look at those whiskers!

It's not like I ever thought she wouldn't go. They were meant to have picked her up next weekend so it really didn't make a difference, but trying to adjust so quickly made me very emotional. Our little morning surprise!

By the time they came over I was in a rush as I was having a riding lesson, which was probably for the best. Saying goodbye is awful, so when they got ready to leave I couldn't even look at Winnie and Memory, I just tried to keep it together and then they where gone. Our babies.

But I know they will get the best possible home, and in a way it made me feel better that they left together. Even if they wont stay together it will be a gradual process where they get used to being somewhere new and without their mummy. I am sure they are not missing us, and last report from Twiggie they were watching telly with them, purring away in the sofa.

But oh we will miss them. The house feels empty. Our little girls.
